DONALD R. KARLEWICZ, CPA

A licensed certified public accountant in the State of New York and a founding partner of GKG, Don has provided consulting and guidance to individuals, family-owned and closely-held businesses for over thirty years.

Don’s extensive experience within a variety of industries—including school bus operators, retailers, construction contractors, limousine companies, equestrian facilities, professional service firms and distributor—has helped clients navigate the challenges of cash flow, rapid growth, consolidation, financing, cost control and budgeting, while always paying close attention to tax savings opportunities. Don has also managed the financial operations for a large metropolitan construction management firm where he set up the asset management, treasury and financial reporting systems.

A graduate of Pace University's Lubin School of Business, Don earned his bachelors degree in accounting and business administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a graduate of the Leadership Rockland Program.

Deeply involved in the local community, Don has volunteered his time coaching youth soccer and little league as well as serving on the boards of these organizations. He remains active in local civic, historical, and not-for-profit organizations including the United Way and presently chairs the Endowment Fund Committee for the Historical Society of Rockland County.

Don and his wife Theresa reside in Orange County, where having raised two children, they now operate a commercial horse boarding and breeding business with their daughter.
